Looking for story development notes? We work with new screenwriters, repped screenwriters, directors, and executive producers, including award-winning filmmakers. If you need creative input and in-depth script feedback in the form of script notes (story development notes) to help spark ideas for you to refine your plot and characters, use this service. We accept film and TV scripts. Our script notes service is for highly driven and thick-skinned filmmakers and screenwriters who seriously want to sharpen their scripts. We will tell you like it is, and we will include creative input.

If you are a screenwriter who wants to pitch your script to a producer, and you are uncertain if your script is ready to be pitched, get thorough script notes from us to see what aspects of your script need to be polished.

If you are a producer or director who needs insightful script feedback and creative input, our script notes can benefit you. Often times, production companies will invest money in high-end cameras, lighting gears, and set designs, but one area they tend to overlook is the importance of giving their screenwriters useful script feedback. Doing so will help you -- the producer -- reduce the cost of producing your movie or TV pilot because a script that contains scenes that are superfluous to the plot will unnecessarily increase your movie or TV show's production budget, and get your TV show cancelled.

Casting actors to play underdeveloped characters that do little to pull the audience into your story will not only waste rehearsal time, but it can hurt your image as a producer. No amount of special effects or action sequences in a script can continually hold your audience's interest without a good story behind it. A story that struggles to hold the audience's interest usually suffers from weak dialogue exchanges that don't serve the plot, disorganized storytelling, characters that fail to form a bond with their audience, and a meandering storyline.

Our scene-specific notes will point out weak spots in the story to help our clients brainstorm and further develop their stories. The script notes will identify major character(s) and scene(s) that cause story roadblocks. The notes will also include creative input/suggestions to improve your story.

If you are new to screenwriting, please be advised that this is not a "co-writing" service where we rewrite scenes and dialogue exchanges for you. With script notes service, you are paying to receive the script notes (aka development notes) and rating grid. That's it. This service provides you with script feedback in the form of detailed notes on the story.

It is not to be confused with personal one-on-one question-and-answer session with a script consultant, which is a very different service. Additionally, for those who are new to the screenwriting industry, script notes service is not a proofreading service -- we will not be focusing our story analysis time highlighting or pointing out typos or grammar errors in your script.

Our script notes service is geared towards providing creative feedback to help you further refine your story and characters. When you get script notes, what you are getting is professional, subjective script feedback in the form of notes. If you want another round of script notes or after you finish rewriting your script, you must order script notes service again.

Similarly, if you want to ask follow-up questions about your script or want us to further elaborate on the notes after receiving our notes, you would need to order our script consulting service since answering follow-up questions to further elaborate on the notes is additional work that will take up additional time, time and extra work that we did not price into the basic Script Notes + Rating Grid service.

Therefore, once you have gone through our notes and you have questions about our creative suggestions or want the notes to be further elaborated, you would need to purchase our script consulting service. The price we have listed for Script Notes service plus rating grid is limited to 3 pages of notes at most.

Answering Your Follow-Up Questions and Further Elaborating on Our Notes is Extra service You Could Purchase

Therefore, if you want the notes further elaborated, which would go beyond our standard 3 pages of notes, or you have follow-up questions about your story like if you should do this or that to your character or plot, as every writer (new writer vs. represented writer) has a different learning curve when it comes to reading and understanding the notes, please inform us if you would like to purchase our script consulting service.

To obtain pricing for our script consulting service and receive answers to your follow-up questions, kindly email us a list of your specific questions. This will allow us to accurately determine the pricing and turnaround time needed for a review of your script as well as specific scenes that pertain to your questions. Doing all of that is extra work and takes up more time, which we didn’t include in the price for our regular Script Notes + Rating Grid service. Most writers, especially experienced industry writers, know that answering follow-up questions and giving more details beyond the 3 pages of notes is extra work that is basically script consulting service.

With that said, if you find yourself in need of more detailed notes or further clarification beyond the 3 pages of notes you got from us, please consider ordering our script consulting service and email us your list of questions. To reiterate, this will allow us to assess the scope of the script consulting service and determine an accurate pricing based on the number of questions and scene analysis required. Once we provide you with the pricing and turnaround time for script consulting and you decide to proceed with that service, we will send you a PayPal e-invoice via email to finalize your order.
